Dunstan Thomas Energy sees surge in demand for Energy One Limited’s EnergyFlow platform amongst UK generators

Dunstan Thomas Energy secured a UK & Ireland distributor licence for EOL’s wholesale energy trading suite earlier this year

13th November 2017

Dunstan Thomas Energy (DTE), a major software player in the UK wholesale energy market, is seeing strong demand for trading automation systems built using Energy One Limited’s (EOL) EnergyFlow business automation platform. EnergyFlow can be configured to help streamline and automate time series-based processes between UK-based generators and counterparties.

DTE has already secured its first contract to configure EnergyFlow to help set-up and manage contracts between one of the UK’s leading power plant operators and a household name counterparty. EnergyFlow will be configured to enable the generator to manage and automate the set-up and running of contracts between the two parties.

The new system manages by exception, so if pre-specified and scheduled workflow activities or processes are not completed in a timely manner, alerts are sent to the relevant authorised user to stimulate manual intervention.

DTE secured a licensed distributor status for Energy One Limited in the UK and Ireland in February 2017. The distributor agreement means that DTE provides first-line support, as well as sales and marketing resources to EOL customers in UK & Ireland.

David Holt, Director, Dunstan Thomas Energy, said:
“EnergyFlow is an ideal product to add to our range of offerings right now. Working with Energy One we know we can now address a wider range of market needs, while providing the local market knowledge, contacts and expertise in exchange, helping Energy One make faster inroads into the UK & Ireland market.”
