Singing Gorilla Projects was set up by Dunstan Thomas CEO Chris Read in 2014.

Here is a video displaying life in Nkuringo, Uganda:

Dunstan Thomas' support includes events such as:

  • The Gorilla Sprint: a triathlon event in which each rider from Dunstan Thomas was sponsored £500 by Dunstan Thomas, the money going towards a water pipeline in Uganda.
  • Chris Read, Dunstan Thomas Group CEO, travelled to Uganda to open a health clinic built by Singing Gorilla Projects, supported by Dunstan Thomas.
  • Sponsoring water tanks, which store harvested rain water to an area with difficulty gaining water supplies.
  • Race the Sun– Dunstan Thomas competed to raise money for various charities, including Singing Gorilla Projects.

The Projects that Singing Gorilla are currently running are:

  • Music School Projects: the village, Nkuringo, has its own thriving music school with over 50 students performing music and drama with the "Lets Play Music" project.
  • Community Projects: "Water Wealth Driving Health" project installs water tanks to capture rain water for drinking and washing, in a part of the world where there is no running water.
  • Education Projects: child sponsorship for schooling and our "Light to Read" project, a solar energy distribution project to help children study more effectively.
  • Health Projects: our "Step Up to Health" project is building a community health clinic and funding the training of medics and nurses.
