Twice a year, Dunstan Thomas, leading pensions fintech, run employee days to drive innovation within the business. This allows employees to focus on and develop their own ideas and planting seeds for future projects. This could include streamlining existing processes or adopting new, cutting-edge technologies to help improve customer outcomes.
On Monday 19th June, Dunstan Thomas held its latest innovation day. The theme for the day was ‘AI for all’, focusing on finding new ways of leveraging AI within the business . Participating employees were given a 24-hour timeframe to work on their projects, which were presented the following day. Each presentation was rated in four key areas – visibility, completeness, innovation and wow factor.
The response was exceptional, showcasing a strong entrepreneurial spirit within the organisation. A total of fifteen employees participated, working across nine inventive projects. Many of the participants worked through the day and into the evening on their projects to ensure they could present a complete project.
Some project themes included using and integrating ChatGPT and Azure Cognitive Services across a huge variety of processes. Among the impressive projects, the overall winner was Alok Gupta's "ChatGPT knowledge base search”. Congratulations to Alok for his well-executed and innovative project!
